Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement no. 1600-2016-0036-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Project Applicant, Caltrans.
This Agreement authorizes the removal of accumulated sediments from Grizzly Creek basin. This sediment removal will occur annually for 3 years. The basin was constructed to trap large amounts of sediment in one location avoiding additional excavation within Grizzly Creek. The project will involve the annual removal of approx. 2,000 cubic yards of sediment along 250 feet of Grizzly Creek Channel. The annual cleaning will bring the basin back to its original capacity. The site will be accessed via an existing gravel road and the material will be disposed at an approved disposal site.
