Document Description
The Project involves the installation of Best Management Practices (BMP's) at the Beretta Dairy in Santa Rosa to reduce potential nonpoint source discharges of nutrients from pasture areas at the Beretta Dairy to Roseland Creek, a tributary of the Laguna de Santa Rosa, in Sonoma County. Proposed BMP's include: relocation of a manure stacking pad to a location within the production area of the dairy and creation of a new vegetated buffer area between former pad area and a watercourse; installation of a vegetated buffer and a cattle crossing over a clean water diversion swale that passes through a high use pasture area; and relocation of a high use pasture area; and relocation of a high use pasture are to a remote.
