Request for Use Permit and Reclamation Plan for the Willow Springs Shale Mine consisting of the excavation and removal of 20,000 tons per year of a specialty decomposed state. The material forms the tops of two small knolls with a total surface area of about 7 acres within a 99.33 acre parcel and lying above the 660 foot contour. The property is located on the south side of Highway 16 about 1/2 mile east of the Old Sacramento Road junction and lying between the Vicini Ranch to the west (containing Plymouth Sand and Gravel operation) and Welsh Pond Road to the east in Amador County.
