The Department of the Navy (DON) proposes to conduct a non-time critical removal action at the Installation Restoration Program Solid Waste Management Unit (SWMU) 24 in accordance with requirements of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) and the National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan (NCP), 40 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 300.415. The proposed removal action is subject to the requirements of the California Health and Safety Code. Chapter 6.8.
