Document Description
The project proposes an application for a minor use permit by Nextel Communications to construct an unmanned, wireless telecommunications facility cosisting of 5 antennas per sector (2) mounted on 12 beams. The proposed beams will measure 3-5 inches in diameter with Nextel's transmit and receive antennas fastened at the top. Two small Global Positioning System (GPS) oval antennas, measuring 4-inches in diameter, will be located on the roof of the proposed equipment shelter. The overall height of the facility will be 12-feet from the apex of the hill. The telephone and electrical equipment used by the facility will be located down slope to the east of the proposed antenna location. No grading is proposed for the project. Access to the project site is from an existing asphalt access road from Old Highway 395. Furthermore, the site is located on a relatively steep 16.67-acre parcel, approximately 940 feet in elevation within the Bonsall Community Planning Area within the unincorporated area of San Diego County.
