A Conditional Use Permit to allow the construction of a dairy (section 19.12.030. A.2, Kern County Zoning Ordinance) in the A (Exclusive Agriculture) District. This property encompassess three legal parcels totaling 801 gross acres of land. The applicants are proposing the development of a modern grade A "dry lots" (without free stalls) dairy on 83.31 acres located at the northeast corner of the site. The dairy will house approximately 2,000 milk cows and 1,912 support stock. Except for the 83.31 acre dairy facility, and 39.09 acres dedicated as easements, the remaining acreage (approximately 678 acres) would be under cultivation and available for the application of liquid and solid nutrients.
