Document Description
The primary objective of the proposed project is to undertake a comprehensive update of the City's General Plan to enable it to serve as a guide through the year 2020. The General Plan is the primary policy document for the City and is the basis for all decisions regarding the physical development of the City. It expresses the community's vision of its future and is as a guide for both long-term and day-to-day decisions and actions of the City. The City's current General Plan was adopted in 1984. Since that time, independent amendments have been made to the various Elements which comprise the Plan; however, the General Plan has not been comprehensively updated since it was adopted in 1984.
