Document Description
The existing General Plan Transportation Plan Exhibit and 2009 Truck Route Ordinance implement truck routes for the street network that were in existence in 2009. The truck routes effectively channel trucks away from residential areas in Riverside and Moreno Valley, in compliance with the Western Riverside County Good Neighborhood Guidelines for Siting New and/or Modified Warehouse/Distribution Facilities. The updated truck routes include newly constructed streets within the north campus and south campus of March Business Center development (aka Meridian). These include extensions of Cactus Avenue, Opportunity Way, Economic Way, Village West Drive, Krameria Ave., Van Buren Blvd and Coyote Bush Road. These "updated" truck routes have already been adopted as truck routes in March Business Center Specific Plan SP-1 (Ordinance #JPA 03-01). However, through adoption of these routes in Truck Route Ordinance #JPA 17-06, the truck route enforcement provisions will now be in effect.
