Document Description
This project proposes minor changes to SP-1 and Tentative Map 30857 to more efficiently develop the South Campus. Specifically, the project proposes to: 1) replace the "curvilinear" intersection of Village West Drive and Krameria Ave with a simpler, more efficient "tree" intersection; 2) adjust the alignment of Krameria Ave slightly to the north to avoid the existing landfill; 3) move the southerly terminus of "M" Street approximately 305 ft to the west as it enters the Ben Clark Training Center; and 4) make minor adjustments in acreages of parcels as a result of these adjustments and realignments. These actions would be accomplished through a Specific Plan Amendment (SP-1, A5) and an amendment to Tentative Map 30857 (TM 30857 Amendment #3). In addition, TM 30857 Amendment #3 revises the map to include development phases. Minor General Plan changes are also proposed as part of the Project. These include 1) minor changes to the general plan land use plan resulting from the requested street realignments; 2) modification of Table 1-1 to increase Parks, Rec and Open Space development and reducing other Industrial and Business Park uses by 21.1 acres; 3) amending the March JPA Trans Plan Exhibit 2-1 to identify the realignment of the Krameria Ave/Village West Dr intersection; and 4) modifying Table 2-2 to identify the addition of bike lanes on Van Buren Blvd. Finally, the project includes modifications to the existing March Business Center Design Guidelines to accommodate more appropriate drought resistant methods.
