Document Description
Redevelopment plan to promote a variety of land uses, affordable housing opportunities for very low, low and moderate income households, improve traffic flow, parking and services which would eliminate physical and economic blighting conditions. California Community Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code Section 33000 et. Seq.) ("CRL") controls redevelopment activity. Redevelopment is defined pursuant to section 33020 of the CRL as "the planning, development, replanning, redesign, clearance, reconstruction, or rehabilitation, or any combination of these, of all or part of a survey area, and the provision of those residential, commercial, industrial, public, or other structures or spaces as may be appropriate or necessary in the interest of the general welfare, including recreational and other facilities incidental or appurtenant to them".
