Document Description
The Las Virgenes Municipal Water District proposes to construct potable water transmission pipelines and a reclaimed water transmission pipeline in the County of Los Angeles, City of Los Angeles, City of Calabasas, and the City of Hidden Hills. The District's 1999 Potable Water System Master Plan identified several major improvements necessary to maintain pace with the District's growth, optimize operational flexibilities, and increase system reliability. The three proposed water pipelines were identified in the Master Plan and are included in the District's 5-year Capital Improvement Plan. The reclaimed line is intended to replace an existing above-ground aluminum pipeline.
