Document Description
The Department of Motor Vehicles proposes to repair the Yuba City DMV carport and entryway roof. The existing carport and roof will be torn down and replaced on an existing site. The proposed project will be located in Yuba City, Sutter County, CA. To achieve this goal, the east entry skylight canopy will be modified to eliminate water leaks and solar heat gain and a new gabled roof structure will be built over the original skylight frame, brick columns will support the new structure, the south drive-thru canopy will be removed and a new canopy will be build in the same location but the columns will be moved to the driveway area. Lighted bollards will be placed between the outside pass-thru lane and the vehicle inspection lane for safety purposes. In addition, to comply to state building code these improvements consist of regrading a portion of the east parking lot to provide a slope by a few inches, modifying the door to the employees breakroom and provide interior signage for some rooms.
