Document Description
The proposed project intends to rehabilitate a portion of the YOL 80 embankment (KP 10.7/10.8) along the Yolo Causeway. The embankment stability has been compromised due to a slipout caused by winter storms. The failed material will be removed, dried, reconstructed, and re-seeded. The embankment material will be placed along the adjacent slope and access roadbed to dry and be combined with engineered fill. The design will include trenching a key to provide for a better design. Access will be obtained through the main entrance of the Vic Fazio Wildlife Area. The parking area near the main entrance along the access road is a potential area for staging and fill material drying. All equipment will remain on the access road or in the designated parking area. Adjacent sensitive areas will be avoided by placement of sediment fencing on the north side of the access road. To prevent the spread of noxious weeds, all equipment and vehicles shall be thoroughly cleaned to remove dirt and seeds prior to being transported or driven to the project site.
