The proposed project includes the following:
Amendments to Elk Grove Municipal Code (EGMC) Section 23.42.040 (Flood Combining District) to cover both the 100- and 200- year floodplains and identify required development standards and findings applicable to development in one or both of these floodplains.
Addition of EGMC Ch. 16.50 (Flood Damage Prevention), which would:
Provide a permit process for development within the 100-year floodplain consistent with the State's model ordinance;
Establish development and construction standards for areas within the 100-year floodplain; and
Document the process, consistent with current practice, the City uses to manage changes to the 100-year floodplain.
