The USFS-LTBMU has proposed to replace three road bridges and two trail bridges. The existing crossings pose a potential threat to human health and safety. The USFS would also replace 2 culverts with arched culverts, and install an armored ford. Five of the proposed crossings would be completed in the 2002 field season; three would be completed in the 2002 field season; three would be completed by the end of the 2003 field season.
