Document Description
The project involves the implementation of activities specified in the Removal Action Workplan (RAW) to remove soil with concentrations of chlordane, dieldrin and lead exceeding 1mg/kg, 0.028 mg/kg, and 365 mg/kg respectively. The site is planned to be redeveloped as a mixed use residential/office/hotel complex. The RAW was prepared in accordance with California Health and Safety Code Section 25356.1(h). Upon approval of the RAW, the recommended remedial alternatives contained herein would be implemented. The recommended remedial alternatives consist of: *Excavation and off-site disposal of up to 3,000 cubic yards of soil containing chemicals of concern (COCs), which include chlordane, dieldrin and lead above clean-up goals on the site; *Soil affected with only lead will be stockpiled separately; *Confirmation sampling.
