Document Description
The applicant proposes to convert 29.6 acres of developed and undeveloped land on a 42.1-acre parcel to vineyards. A total of two new contiguous vineyard blocks are proposed. Earth-disturbing activity associated with the vineyard development would include minor cuts and fills for land smoothing, diversion swales, and construction of several erosion sediment and energy dissipation structures. The entire vineyard area would be ripped prior to planting of the permanent "no-till" cover crop. Traditional mechanized methods of farming would be used. The site elevation ranges from 700 to 1,350 feet mean sea level.
