Document Description
The proposed project is a Site Development Permit to allow redevelopment of Eastridge mall, located on an approximate 76-acre site, of which a 54.55 acre portion is where construction is proposed to occur. The mall currently includes a JC Penney, Macy's, Sears, ice rink, and several non-mall structures. The proposed project would include the demolition of 306,768 square feet of the mall, including a vacant department store building, mall shops and an ice rink. These structures would be replaced by a movie theater complex, and approximately seven new non-mall shops and/or restaurants. The total square footage of these additions will equal the area to be demolished; therefore there will be no net increase in total mall area on the site. In addition, the new portions of the mall structure will not be greater in height than the existing structure. The proposed project also includes new landscaping in the southern portion of the project site.
