Document Description
The project consists of the replacement of an existing 1.0 MG potable water storage reservoir through the construction of a 6.0 MG steel potable water reservoir on the existing 1.03 acre reservoir site owned by the Otay Water District (District). Following the demolition of the existing 26-foot tall reservoir, the foundation pad will be widened and lowered to allow expansion of the storage capacity from 1.0 MG to 6.0 MG while allowing the existing water level to remain the same. The new water tank will be 146 feet wide, approximately double the width of the existing tank, and 36 feet tall. However, it will only measure 26 feet above the existing ground level due to the lowering of the graded foundation.
