Document Description
The purpose of the project is to inhibit the growth of tules and allow the water to flow through the pond. All work will be done by hand. The tules will be removed and taken to higher ground away from the creek and pond. The only vegetation to be removed is tules. No other riparian vegetation will be trimmed or removed. The project will take place once a year for the next three years. The existing willows are currently providing shade on the pond and should eventually inhibit sunlight enough to prevent the regrowth of tules. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2002-0124 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1603.
