Document Description
Contra Costa Water District will transfer between 8,000 to 15,000 acre-feet of Central Valley Project (CVP) water to Westlands Water District. The water will be diverted from Sacramento River discharges at Old Slough, and be transported through the State Water Project facilities to an existing Westlands Water District diversion structure along either the San Luis Canal or the Mendota Pool.

The project monitors and adjusts the operation of existing facilities to meet fluctuating conditions. Further, the project does not require any of the parties carrying out the project to deviate from their normal or historic operating schemes. In addition, the conveyance of water through the State Water Project facilities will not result in any negative impacts beyond those covered in any existing environmental documents and permits.
