The purpose of this contract is to conduct a systematic lighting research program that creates new lighting technology and products that can save energy, reduce peak demand, and reduce pollution for the citizens of California. This meets the PIER goal of advancing science and technology with knowledge gained through innovative research and development of LED, HID and fluorescent lighting technologies and products.
