Document Description
The operator proposes to install a seasonal 50 foot flat car bridge over the Garcia River located approximately 1 mile downstream of the Highway 1 Bridge, Point Area, Mendocino County. A cable will be attached to a tractor which will pull the bridge over the river and place it on the south side of the gravel bar. The native gravel will then be pushed up to construct the approach ramp and abutment. The northern bridge abutment will be the bank of the river. The bottom of the bridge will be approximately 4 feet above the water level of the Garcia River and completely span the low flow channel. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2002-0205 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1603.
