Document Description
Carnegie SVRA is in an area known to have soil containing Valley Fever, potential asbestos-containing soils, and fine clays. Fugitive dust is a severe problem during the dry season, compromising air quality and public safety throughout the canyon. Using a water truck alone is not a feasible solution to this problem, as the silt created during watering the roads and parking areas contributes to the sedimentation of Corral Hollow Creek. In addition, running the water truck is a time-intensive process (as least one person full-time every weekend) and Carnegie's maintenance staff is short handed.
