Replacement of an existing, dilapidated culvert with a new culvert that has flap gates to allow for greater control over the length and depth of ponding on Fly Bay, thereby improving wetland-related wildlife habitat. The project is part of the long-term management program for the NSMWA, which has a significant amount of tidal wetlands and uplands, but lacks seasonal ponding and controlled flows in many marshes.
