Document Description
Reroute a 12' steep, eroding, dangerous portion of Cabrillo Peak Trail at Morro Bay State Park to protect public safety, correct existing erosion, protect natural resources in the area and support continued use and maintenance. The new section of the trail will be created with switchbacks, in the same general area, to reduce the grade of the trail. The abandoned segment of the trail will be closed by installing split rail fence (130' total), and recontouring and revegetation the old trail footprint and adjacent eroded areas with plants indigenous to the area.
