Document Description
Replace the previously existing ranch house (demolished for health and safety reasons) with a temporary 24x44 modular facility at Wassama Roundhouse State Historic Park to serve as a Visitor Center, storage, and event support facility for park events. Structure will remain in place until construction of a permanent park facility is possible. Installation will require construction of a new septic system, but other utilities will be supplied through existing facilities. An ADA-compliant parking space and access path will be installed; existing wooden perimeter fencing will be replaced to discourage uncontrolled park access. A DPR-qualified archaeologist and representative from the Wassama Association will monitor all ground-disturbing activities.
