Document Description
Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Project that will supplement existing forest funding ($169,000) for the forest-wide Off-highway Vehicle (OHV) program. The application requests the following: 1) Law enforcement patrol using motorcycles and 4WD vehicles; 2) a monitoring program to monitor impacts of OHV use and to comply with the State standards for conservation of soils and wildlife habitat; 3) maintenance of OHV routes, staging areas and trailheads, Back Country Discovery Trail and signs; 4) aerial photography and monitoring of archeological sites at Rowher Flat; 5) public information; (maps and brochures) participation in OHV shows, fairs, and special events; 6) supplies for construction of physical barriers and signing; and 7) volunteer management.
