Creekside Elementary School

The Patterson Unified School District proposes to undertake the acquisition of approximately 12 acres of land for the construction and operation of the Creekside Elementary School (Project). The Project will be an elementary school for grades kindergarten through five (K-5). The total school population will be approximately 500 to 600 students; playgrounds including hardscaped and turf playhouse and landscaping. The buildings will be designed to comply with State Department of education's guidelines and local zoning codes. The Project is south of a junior high school (presently under construction) and within a planned residential development. The project is located in an area where there is adjacent, newly constructed roads (American Eagel Avenue, Gannet Lane) with curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and bicycle path. In addition there are water and sewer connections. It should be noted that the Project was identified in the Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) and Final EIR for the Creekside Annexation to the City of Patterson (State Clearinghouse #1993112078) and was included as part of the planned developments for the Patterson Ranch and Walker Ranch (1,000 single-family homes on about 313 acres with other mixed uses a total area of 646 acres). The Final EIR for Creekside Annexation was submitted and processed by the City of Patterson (Lead Agency) in early 1994. The lighting for the Project will include low level security lighting, signage lighting, and illumination of the surface parking lot and associated pedestrian areas.
