The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) propose to replace the existing Route 1 Greenwood Creek Bridge in Mendocino County with a new, two lane 13.3 meter (43.5 feet) wide structure, parallel to the east side of the existing bridge. Route 1 will also be realigned to connect the new bridge at both the north and south approaches.
