Document Description
The proposed project consists of the redevelopment and expansion of the San Martin Transfer Station, which is owned and operated by South Valley Disposal and Recycling, Inc. The transfer station, located on Llagas Avenue in San Martin, has been operating at this site for 20 years. The project encompasses three existing parcels, two of which are on the site of the existing transfer station. The project proponent proposes to increase the capacity of this facility from 250 tons per day to a peak of 1,000 tons of municipal solid waste per day. This would be achieved by modifying the existing facilities. The proponent also plans to relocate its fleet vehicle parking and maintenance, administation and other services from a location in Gilroy to the parcel adjacent to the transfer station.
