Document Description
Modesto City Schools is proposing to construct a new high school in Stanislaus County. The proposed site for James C. Enochs High School is approximately 70 acres in size and located in the northeastern portion of the City of Modesto. The site is bounded by agricultural uses to the east and north. The Sylvan Veterinary Clinic and rural ranchettes make up the site's western boundary. There are other rural residential developments south of the project site, on the southern side of Sylvan Avenue. The proposed project includes construction of a high school campus including various academic buildings (home economics, science, industrial technology, etc.), an administration building, cafeteria, gymnasium, boys and girls locker rooms, a media center, and snack bar. In addition, the campus will include a swimming pool and various sports fields.
