A joint transit improvement project between Alameda County, City of San Leandro Redevelopment Agency, and BART to build a pedestrian/ bicycle bridge from Bay Fair BART station to Bay Fair Mall. Improvements include a new 42-foot long by 20-foot wide pedestrian bridge, sidewalks, lighting, landscaping, signage, bus shelter/benches, bike racks, and fencing. The existing pedestrian bridge may remain, with construction of a new pedestrian bridge approximately 250 feet up-stream from the current bridge's location.
