The Town of Corte Madera has prepared a draft Housing Element in Compliance with Government Code Sections 65580-65589.8. The draft Housing Element is an update of the Housing Element to the General Plan that the Town Council adopted in 1989. The draft Housing Element does the following: Documents housing-related conditons and trends, provide an assessment of housing needs, identifies resources, opportunities and constraints to meet those needs and establish policies programs and quantified objectives to address housing needs.
