Document Description
The proposed project is a Master Plan for the reconstruction and expansion of OPMS and RHS on approximately 99.04 acres. The reconstructed and expanded facilities will accommodate a maximum of 1,600 middle school students and 3,500 high school students within the existing campuses and the Northern Parcel. Four Alternative Designs (Alternatives A-D) were analyzed on a program level within a PEIR. Each Alternative design accommodates varying student capacities for both campuses based on the on-site preservation of the wetlands and vernal pools. The Northern Parcel will include additional playfields for both schools and additional parking. In addition, the project proposes to extend and cul-de-sac 16th Street to be used as a pickup/drop off area. A walkway will also be constructed which will allow pedestrian access from 16th Street to the School campuses. A parking lot is also included at the terminus of 16th Street for Alternatives A and D. Expansion of the middle school campus includes expanded administration and gymnasium facilities, additional classrooms, restroom facilities, hardcourts, and parking. Expansion of the high school campus includes expanded administration and gymnasium facilities, additional classrooms, laboratories, restrooms, and a library/instructional media center.
