Document Description
Correct first floor entry/egress problems, provide ADA-accessibility, and reconstruct the non-historic interior stairs, evaluate general building condition and make minor structural repairs, including roof (tile replacment), balcony, and exterior features. Develop and implement an interpretive plan for exhibits and artifacts. This would include a video presentation to provide accessibility to second floor exhibits, in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Upgrade mechanical, eletrical, and security systems to provide an appropriate environment for display and preservation of historical artifacts and comply with the California Historical Building Code. Provide historically accurate sitework, such as grading, while removing non-historical features, including inappropriate landscaping to enhance the authentic historical environment.
