Document Description
The proposed project consists of constructing an elementary school on a 9.6-acre parcel, including three 7,200-square-foot, permanent, 6-classroom pods; two 7,200-square-foot, permanent, 3-classroom pods; a temporary administration building and cafeteria (both in one structure); two paved playgrounds; two turf playgrounds, and two parking lots. Sixteen Monterey pine trees and three avocado trees located on the property would be removed. The proposed school would serve approximately 800 students in kindergarten through sixth grade and would employ 40 to 50 teachers and administrative staff. Nighttime lighting would be required for buildings and parking lots (Fassiotto 2002).
