Document Description
The applicant proposes eleven (11) projects. The 11 projects include: an equipment crossing of a Class I watercourse, installation of a rock ford on Class II watercourse, abandonment of Class II and Class III watercourse crossings, and a Humboldt crossing removal on a Class I watercourse. 1) Crossing #1: The removal of perched fill on along a Class II watercourse at an existing seasonal road crossing (to be abandoned). 2) Crossing #2: The removal of perched fill along a Class II watercourse at an existing seasonal road crossing (to be abandoned). 3) Crossing #3: The removal of perched fill on along a Class II watercourse at an existing seasonal road crossing (to be abandoned). 4) Crossing #4: A temporary Class I watercourse crossing with heavy equipment. 5) Crossing #5: The removal and abandonment of an old Humboldt crossing on a Class I watercourse. 6) Crossing #6: The installation of a rock ford (change from rolling dip) on a Class II watercourse at an existing seasonal road crossing. 7) Area E: The removal of a culvert on an existing Class III watercourse just above a Class II watercourse along a seasonal road crossing section (to be abandoned). 8) Area F: The removal of perched fill on two Class II watercourses associated with a landing area along a seasonal road section (to be abandoned). 9) Area H; The realignment of Class II watercourse to the original channel location and abandonment of the road crossing. 10) Area J: The restoration of a Class II watercourse channel associated with an abandoned in-stream landing along a seasonal road section (to be abandoned); removal of in-stream logs utilized for crossing the watercourse and perched fill along channel. Potential additional project conditions listed below for field review evaluation. 11) Area K: The removal of perched fill along a Class II watercourse at an existing seasonal road crossing (to be abandoned). The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement R3-2001-1014, pursuant to Section 1603 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, John Ramaley, Mendocino Redwoods Company.
