- California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (SAA #06-001-00) pursuant to Section 1603. The operator proposes to develop a 53 acre site for sand and gravel mining. This is located on land under BLM jurisdiction located north of Blythe, California. The raw materials will be utilized at their concrete batching plant. Finished products would include: washed sand, 1/4" x 1" rock, and 3/16" x #8 rock. Approximately 15 acres of the southern portion of the 53 acre site would be used for processing, while the northern portion will be used for extraction. The mine will be developed in phases over a 30 to 35 year period and includes the following phases: three for mining, three for reclamation and two for processing.
