Document Description
The applicant proposes bed, bank, and channel alteration at two sites in Busch Creek, a perennial fish bearing tributary to the East Branch of the Russian River. The project will involve the placement of one rocked crossing. The road will not be used if the seven other crossing sites (Sites 1-7) have flow or ponded water present. A temporary culvert crossing of Busch Creek may be completed on the landowners property if flowing water is present at the time work is initiated. If a rocked ford is placed at this site (Site 9), it shall be breached prior to flow recurring in the channel. The stream crossing work is considered necessary for the operation of the Timber Harvest Plan and Conversion 1-00-208 MEN, located in northwest Potter Valley in Mendocino County; Section 2; T17N,R12W, MDM. The California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement R3-2000-1275, pursuant to Section 1603 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Adam Pielaszczyk, P.O. Box 750731, Petaluma, CA 94975.
