- Approximately 15,625 cubic yards of soil will be dredged from Berths 10-1 and 10-2 and the approach area to a uniform depth of about -32 feet plus 1 foot over dredge (MLLW). A clamshell dredge working from a barge will be used to complete the excavation operations. The soil will also be removed from the barge and placed in the Phase I soil drying facility with clamshell equipment. The soil will be stored within the drying facility on the unimproved vacant lot until it is dried. After the drying operations are complete, the drying facility will be removed from the site and the sediment used either as construction fill or transported to a landfill.
