Upgrade existing climate control system to support air conditioning at the historic Summit Observatory (Visitor Center) in Mount Diablo State Park, to protect and preserve historical artifacts, protect public health, and improve visitor services. All electrical and plumbing will be routed through existing conduit and access holes: condenser units will be installed outside the building.

All work impacting the historic fabric or importance of the structure and its surroundings shall adhere to these restrictions and the requirements set forth by the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties with Guidelines for Preserving, Rehabilitation, Restoring, and Reconstructing Historic Buildings (1995), Weeks and Grimmer.
