Document Description
The project will revegetate an ephemeral stream that was channelized over 50 years ago and has little vegetation. In the downstream 500 feet of the site the channel will be widened through localized excavation grazing land to increase the restoration area through creation of a new floodplain. The project site is located along an unnamed tributary to Matanzas Creek at 5757 Bennett Valley Road in Sonoma County, in Assessor's Parcel Number 049-060-003. The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2002-0218 pursuant to section 1601 of the Fish and Game Code to the project operator, Kerry Williams / Sotoyome Resource Conservation District.
