Document Description
Preparation of an Historic Structures Report (HSR) to document historic properties of the building and support implementation of repairs in a manner consistent with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, with Guidlines for Preserving, Rehabilitating, Restoring, and Reconstructing Historic Buildings (1995), Weeks and Grimmer. Rehabilitation of the historic Farmhouse, including stabilization of the foundation repair and/or replacement in kind of the deteriorated floor, walls, ceiling, and roof; weatherproofing of structure. Repair, replacement, and /or upgrade of existing fire/life safety, security, electrical, and plumbing system as necessary to support proposed use and meet existing local, state, and federal codes and standards. Construction of an access ramp to conform with requirements of the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and minor adaptation of the structure as necessary (interior and exterior) to provide adequate ADA access. Preparation and implementation of an interpretive plan for public use of the facility as a house museum, including historically correct furnishings and exhibits.
