- The City of Lafayette proposes to undertake a comprehensive revision of its General Plan, originally adopted in 1976. The revised General Plan and its components will reflect the values and concerns of the citizens of Lafayette. The Plan sets forth goals, policies and programs for the conservation and development of the City, and will guide future policy decisions by the City Council, Commissions and Committees. The draft Plan proposes a reduced development density in the LR zoning district. The Plan includes the following Chapters: Land Use, Circulation, Open Space and Conservation, Parks, Trails and Recreation, Growth Management, Safety, Noise and Housing.
