The proposed project involves the acquisition of property, construction of a new school building and associated site improvements, and conversion of the existing middle school to an elementary school. The school site is a 35.7 acre portion of a 45.2 acre site that has been previously identified for school use and is currently undeveloped. The new school includes: 1) core facilities (56,200 s.f.) including space for administrative offices, gymnasium and locker rooms, cafeteria and kitchen, library, computer lab, music rooms, storage and mechanical equipment rooms; 2) classroom-east wing (28,200 s.f.-phase 1); 3) classroom-west wing (14,100 s.f.-phase 2); 4) modular classrooms (7,200 s.f.); 5) outdoor plaza area; 6) hardcourt play area; 7) soccer field; and 8) parking and access drives.
