Document Description
The project is a proposal to relocate and expand the North Torrance Branch Library, construct a 5,400 square foot multi-purpose building with community meeting room, establish a 2,000 square foot new Police Community Center, reconstruct Herma Tillim Senior Center and preschool facility, replace and relocate an existing water tank, construct a new public parking lot, construct a deceleration lane off Artesia Boulevard, and relocate the basketball court and tot lot. The expanded Library and Senior Center facilities will be 8,000 square feet and 7,000 square feet respectively. The new library and recreational facility will be a total of 22,400 square feet. The existing 15,800 square foot library and recreational facility will be demolished. The existing sport field areas will be preserved in their present configuration.
