Document Description
The proposed three-story CNSI building, with a gross floor area of about 131,600 square feet, would be built on a 4.86-acre site near the east gate on the UCSB Main Campus. The CNSI would house several major program elements, including seminar and conference spaces, computer laboratpries, administrative office suites, research offices for faculty, staff, and students, generic labs for chemistry, biology, and engineering research, and imaging core facility, a spectroscopy core facility, and a bio-nanofabrication core facility. The project also involves the construction of the Campus Parking Structure 2 off of Mesa Road with a capacity of approximately 615 cars and a ground level cafe.
