Document Description
The work involves the replacement of an existing corroded 900 mm culvert with a new 900 mm corrugated metal pipe along the same alignment in an unnamed drainage tributary to San Jose Creek. The project is in Monterey County along Highway 1 at PM 71.3, approximately 0.12 miles north of the San Jose Creek bridge. The construction will involve excavating the roadway and highway fill, removal of the existing culvert and replacement with a new culvert. A slurry cement backfill will be poured around the new culvert to bring the grade to approximately road level. The concrete will then be paved over to create the new roadway. The existing rock headwalls will remain in place.
