Document Description
Two-year intensive feral pig control activities at Henry W. Coe State Park to rapidly reduce the number of feral animals within park boundaries, followed by annual trapping and hunting to maintain relatively low densities of wild pigs in the park. Reduction in the wild pig population will result in improved public safety, protection of the natural and cultural resources from pig depredation, and improved habitat for native species. All work will be in compliance with the Henry W. Coe Wild Pig Management Plan and follow the protocol set forth in a Memorandum of Understanding with California Department of Fish and Game (DFG). Control measures will need to be continued indefinitely.
